Sustainable system design and project execution are high priorities within Escher. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer.

Tasks & Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer prepares and is responsible, on a project basis, for the complete mechanical design of equipment and systems supplied by Escher Process Modules. This includes mechanical related engineering activities such as preparation and/or review of pressure vessel calculations, structural calculations, piping calculations, pressure vessel and skid design, mechanical rotating and static equipment selection and review, review of detailed drawings, as well as verifiable knowledge of ASME and EU (such as PED) design codes and specifications (a.o. API, Norsok, Nace, Shell-DEP’s). Verifiable knowledge of material selection, (high) pressure vessel design, heat exchangers, separators and rotating equipment (a.o. pumps) is required as a minimum. The Mechanical Engineer will also be actively involved in the preparation of technical quotations and clarifications. He/she will attend technical meetings with our clients during project execution. He/she will evaluate quotations of vendors and sub-suppliers.

In addition to the aforementioned activities, the inspection and factory acceptance testing and incidental mechanical (pre-)commissioning are included in the tasks and responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer.

Key Requirements
This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar international position within the Oil & Gas and/or Chemical industry. Knowledge of engineering tools like AutoCad, Naviswork, Tekla, Ceasar and PVelite is required and you must have an excellent command of English language, Dutch is a preference. For this position EU citizenship is required.
