Flare tips for Shell and Qatar Petroleum

Flare tips for Shell and Qatar Petroleum October 2008 - In 2007 Shell awarded Escher Process Modules the contract for the design, engineering, manufacture and delivery of a LP flare tip, inclusive of a H2S Burner for maintenance shutdowns of the Bukom refinery’s flare system. The original Escher Process Modules retractable flare system had been commissioned back in 1971.

Three Dutch companies were involved in the project: the main design and engineering work was carried out at Escher’s offices in Schiedam, the pilot burners were supplied by Smitsvonk in Zoetermeer, and the FIB workshops in Leeuwarden completed the engineering, manufacture and assembly.
