Iv-Infra helps in the design of an alternative plan for a bus station in Driebergen-Zeist

Iv-Infra helps in the design of an alternative plan for a bus station in Driebergen-Zeist December 2012 - In 2020, the current bus station Driebergen-Zeist will be replaced by a new station square, including a new bus station.

However, this would imply that the office of the company Lisman en Lisman bv would need to be removed as the new structure is to be built over it. To prevent this, Lisman en Lisman bv suggested for an alternative plan to be devised that will better address the needs of both parties. Iv-Infra and MuConsult were selected to design the alternative plan. Iv-Infra and MuConsult enhanced the plan to include improved functionality while reducing costs. This was achieved by optimising the space available, thereby reducing the walking distance between the bus and the train. In addition, the new plan calls for seven platforms from which 99 buses can depart every hour (compared to nine platforms from which 23 busses can depart per hour). With the help of Iv-Infra and MuConsult, Lisman en Lisman bv is able to maintain its real estate and the satisfaction of public transport users, through increased wheelchair accessibility and safety, will be improved. Additionally, the new plan will optimise functionality, and can be executed without delay.
