Special collaboration project for Rozenboomlaan completed

Special collaboration project for Rozenboomlaan completed December 2015 - Over the last six years, there has been major maintenance carried out in the area around Rozeboomlaan in Voorburg. Iv-Infra and the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg worked closely with Dunea and Stedin on this project. For this, an integrated contract was drawn up. This is a unique project as this is the first time that only one contractor has carried out the work activities for both the municipality and utility companies simultaneously. As a result, the work has had a shorter lead time and there was less of an inconvenience for the local residents.

As part of this maintenance project, the sewage, water lines and gas lines were renewed in a large area around the Rozenboomlaan. The public space in this area has been given with a new layout, which was established using the ideas of local residents. Iv-Infra created the design for this project and was also responsible for contract management and supervision of work activities. The replacement of the pipes of Stedin (the replacement of a gas line) and Dunea (the replacement of a water line) were included in a RAW contract. The work was awarded to contractor, KWS,  which was therefore responsible for all work activities.

The work was completed to the full satisfaction of the client. Iv-Infra is currently working on the design and contract for a similar contract, also with Dunea, Stedin and the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg, for the Deventerlaan and surrounding area.
