New coke gas pipeline Tata Steel: better deployment of production gases

New coke gas pipeline Tata Steel: better deployment of production gases August 2014 - With the new 2.5 kilometre long coke gas pipeline, which has been operational since 2013, Tata Steel in IJmuiden can now deploy production gases within its own processes. More specifically, the new, larger pipes will allow the hot strip mills to run increasingly more on coke gas than on natural gas. This will be beneficial for the environment as it saves 30 kilotons of CO2 emissions per year.

For this project, Iv-Industrie carried out the entire detailed engineering for the process, piping and mechanical engineering, industrial safety, mechanical, structural and design engineering, and electricity & instrumentation.
